Tulane Summer Sports Camps Set To Open

Tulane University will host hundreds of
campers ages seven through high school this June and July as the Green Wave coaching staffs hold their annual summer camps on the uptown campus. Camps for baseball, football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, tennis and soccer are all scheduled and registrations are now being accepted through each sport’s office.

The Chris Scelfo Tulane Football Camp will be held June 12-14 at the Westfeldt Practice and Competition Facility for boys ages 7 to 18. A one day 7-on-7 passing camp will follow on Saturday, June 15th.
Men’s basketball coach Shawn Finney will
host three camp sessions at Fogelman Arena: the individual day camp June 17-20, the Father & Son Camp June 14-15 and the Team Camp June 7-8. All sessions are open to campers ages 7 through 17.
Women’s basketball coach Lisa Stockton and her staff will host the 2002 Green Wave Hoops Camps with the Elite Camp for girls
in grades 8-12 scheduled for June 24-25
and the Day Camp for girls ages 7-18 on
June 24-27. Both sessions will be held in Fogelman Arena.
Most of Betsy Becker’s Summer Volleyball Camps are open to girls and boys ages 8-18, beginning with the Position Camp June 1-2 and July 6th through 7th, followed by the Intermediate Camp (July 22-25) and the All Skills Camp (July 8-11). The Tulane
Volleyball Elite Camp is open to high school girls with at least one year of club or varsity experience and will be held July
22-25. All volleyball camps will be held in newly air-conditioned and renovated Fogelman Arena on the Tulane campus.
The Tulane Girls Soccer Camp, directed by Tulane head coach Betsy Anderson and her staff, will take place June 24-28 and
July 27-31 at the Westfeldt Practice and Competition Facility. The June camp is for ages 6-13 while the July session is limited
to 10 to 18-year-olds.
Tulane also offers tennis camps and clinics throughout the summer, directed by head women's coach David Schumacher and assistant men's coach Ernesto Ponce. A variety of

Finally, the popular Rick Jones Tulane Baseball Camp offers three weeks of Day camps for ages 7-12, running June 17-21,
July 8-12 and July 22-26 at Turchin Stadium. Jones and his staff also host the Hitting Camp and the Showcase Camp for
players ages 12-18 with the Hitting Camp schedule for July 15-16 and the Showcase Camp July 28-August 1.
